2 T Milk

1 qt. Fry Oil,
peanut, canola, soy
Instructions
Prep
Heat oil to 375°F. Set up drying rack or paper towels.
In one bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, 1 teaspoon salt, garlic powder, smoke paprika, and pepper.
In second bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and ½ teaspoon salt.
Cut okra, season.
Cook
Dust okra in cornmeal mixture, dip in egg mixture, then cornmeal mixture again.
Fry 3-5 minutes in batches.
Finish
Serve immediately or keep warm in a warming drawer or low temperature oven.
